My diagnosis fee is a flat rate of $29. If the diagnostic takes longer than an hour or if you decide not to proceed with repair, the fee is $49. I can afford to have an extremely low diagnostic fee if you're willing to go through with the repairs. Unlike most of my competitors that have diagnostics ranging from $80-$140, my rates are much more reasonable. And my diagnostic charge is not the only charge that's less than my competitors. Thanks to the fact that I work out of my home, I can charge much less than most other shops.
